Dome Boots 2

The balmoral cap toe allows for standardized sizing to comfortably fit many. Instead of a closed lacing system, it is closed at the toe and splays. Many standard eyelets lower down, but spaced wider at the top with hooks for easy, fast lacing. The counter cover is inspired by engineer boots for an oversized look and acts as an external side stiffener. This meets the back seam, which does not have a back stay, for more affordable and efficient mass production. Instead, it features thick stitching, which is mirrored on the toe. Full bellows tongue for weather resistance, held in place by the eyelets.

These boots are made with thick leather, which allows for no lining, toe structure, or top line reinforcement. The tongue is made of 3 pieces — a thin leather for the bellows, internal foam for comfort, and a covering of main leather for visual harmony. The boot is split into 4 panels, which allows for efficient clicking and reduces leather waste.

On the mass-produced version, the sole construction is a single unit with an internal shank, Blake-stitched and nailed through the heel from the inside. This boot is designed to be visually striking, cheap to manufacture, fit as many feet as possible, offer styling versatility, saving material for sustainability, and features very rugged and repairable construction.
